How to Win Friends and Influence People

Hello folks

Even in my busy schedule I find time to listen to audio books and once I finish the book my immediate thought is to share the review with you. Sharing is caring, right? So here is the review of another book that has helped me a lot. If you have read the book do share your thoughts down in the comments.

“How to Win Friends and Influence People” is a book published in 1936 written by Dale Carnegie that tackles the age-old question of how to make friends. Interestingly it is written based on the wisdom of Dale Carnegie who lived from 1888 to 1955 but it still is very relevant.

I read this book right after reading “Never Split the Difference” by Chris Voss and it was a pleasant coincidence. If you haven’t already read my take on that book, kindly go check it out.

While reading the book I realized that the skills we need for negotiating in extreme conditions are quite similar to what we need in daily life. More amazingly, these skills are much needed but not so much explored and practiced. “How to Win Friends and Influence People” has a lot of American references but in the end, it does make sense. My favorite takeaway from this book is to remember the names. Ever since reading the book, I have been careful to remember the thing that everyone is most interested in “Their name”. Overall a great enjoyable read and good narration in Audible.

If you have read this book comment down below what you think about it. Thank you!
